There are four different release colors in two power options to choose from for your 1985 Toyota Hilux SR5 pre-built RTR (Ready-To-Run) trail truck!

1985 TOYOTA HILUX SR5 BODY

The officially licensed Toyota Hilux SR5 body included with the Venture18 RTR is completely outfitted with a range of fabulous scale items. In addition to the hand-painted polycarbonate body with clear windows, you'll find a host of scale details including a pair of real side mirrors, door handles, grills, classic tube bumpers front and rear, light buckets for the working lights, dual-tube rollbar and adjustable-width rock rails that help the truck glide over tough obstacles.

CLIPLESS BODY MOUNTING SYSTEM

Say goodbye to the hassle of traditional body clips! The Venture18 Clipless Body Mounting System offers a seamless, secure, and efficient solution for mounting and removing body. Designed for ease of use and built to last, this system eliminates the need for messy clips that can get lost or break during extended trailing sessions. With a single twist-lock mechanism and a rear hinge, you’ll enjoy quick access to the chassis and effortless battery swaps, making your Venture18 experience smoother and more enjoyable than ever.

FULLY FUNCTIONING FRONT LIGHTS WITH TURN SIGNALS

The Venture18, features a fully functional LED light set that’s directly controllable from your transmitter!

The Venture18 offers 5 distinct light modes out of the box, all easily cycled through with a simple push of a button on the transmitter. From Day Mode, to Dusk to Night Mode for full illumination, the Venture18 has you covered in any lighting condition.

FUNCTIONING BRAKE LIGHTS WITH TURN SIGNALS

The brake lights illuminate automatically when the brakes are used and signal lights can also be Off, On or in flashing Hazard modes.

FULLY DETAILED BODY

The Venture18 comes with a meticulously crafted, fully detailed body that’s designed to impress. The scale rollbars enhance the SR5’s rugged look and also features 4 removable rollbar lights for amazing realism and style. This perfectly complements the overall body design, ensuring your Venture18 stands out in any setting.

For those who want to take it to the next level, the rollbar lights can have extra optional LED lights installed, which will plug straight into the standard light controller, allowing you to have dramatically more illumination for driving in total darkness!

ROCK RAIL SLIDERS

Robust side bars, known as rock sliders or rock rails, allow the Venture18 to slide over obstacles that are just a bit too tall for it to completely clear. Stretching from the front to rear wheel openings, they serve to aid off-road performance as well as protect the body from scratches by ground obstacles like rocks and roots. Although they are the perfect fit for the Toyota Hilux SR5 body out of the box, they can be adjusted in width to fit other scaler bodies.

ROCKTHORN OFF-ROAD TIRES on CS-10 WHEELS

The Venture 18 is fitted with 1.2" Rockthorn tires molded in sticky rubber, just like the 1.9” version. Each tire is studded with a variety of lug sizes across its face, and the tread extends to the sidewall to help get the Venture18 get over extra-difficult obstacles like mossy rocks and slick tree roots. The tires are mounted on great-looking chrome finished CS-10 1.2 inch 3-piece beadlock "Steely" wheels, which themselves feature center hub caps that hide the steel wheel locknuts for maximum scale realism. Whether you're navigating through rocky obstacles or conquering tight spots, the Venture18 trail truck delivers hours of fun and excitement.

COUNTER-ROTATING DRIVELINE

The Venture18 features counter-rotating telescopic center driveshafts with universal joints at both ends for super-smooth power transmission to the front and rear axles. This virtually eliminates torque-twist on the chassis when the truck is powering up tough inclines!

CENTER SERVO OPERATED
2-SPEED TRANSMISSION

The Venture18 is equipped with an all-metal, servo-operated 2-speed transmission, designed for superior performance and durability. With the flick of a switch on the transmitter, you can effortlessly switch between low and high gears, giving you the flexibility to tackle any terrain with ease.

Low Gear boasts an impressive final drive ratio of 81.44:1, providing exceptional slow-speed crawling capabilities for those tight, technical trails and obstacles. And when you need a burst of speed on a flat, open section - or just need a wild amount of power to get up a climb! - simply shift to High Gear on the transmitter for a final drive ratio of 20.36:1, offering a blast of speed!

LOW CENTER OF GRAVITY

Built with an all-metal transmission design, the driveline is not only incredibly tough and brushless-ready but also features a super-low center of gravity. The driveshafts are composite slider-style shafts with universal joints at each end, where they meet the transmission case and axle. At the axles, metal 11-tooth pinions and 28-tooth ring gears (for an axle ratio of 2.54:1) sit inside the "pumpkin", or center, of the axles. This helps enhance stability and balance, allowing the Venture18 to conquer even the most challenging lines and obstacles with confidence.

AXLE MOUNTED STEERING SERVO

The Venture18 FLUX features a strong, high-torque 1.5kg metal-geared micro steering servo. The axle mounted servo allows the Venture18 to go exactly where you want it with precise steering control, and the extra weight over the front axle helps the truck get over tough obstacles!

45 deg STEERING ANGLE

The Venture18 steering setup and front universal driveshafts give the truck and impressive 45 degrees of steering angle out of the box, so you don't have to do any complicated modifications to get maximum performance on the trail.

Maximized Clearance Angles

The Venture18 chassis is loaded with potential, making it extremely versatile on the trail and up tough climbing routes. Its capability lies in several factors, including off-road friendly clearance angles from the tire contact points to the bumpers and chassis, as well as good ground clearance thanks to its minimal diff case size.

REALISTIC SUSPENSION AND HANDLING

The Venture18’s suspension setups helps it drive great on- or off-road – and it looks just like the real thing while driving! There’s no unrealistic bouncing or springing here! Thanks to its scaled-down suspension taking from real off-road machines, plus perfect positioning of components like the steering servo, transmission and electronics, you'll be able to take your adVenture just about anywhere!

STRAIGHT AXLES

The Venture18, just like classic off-roaders, is equipped with straight axles both front and rear, providing exceptional power delivery when you need it most. These rugged axles ensure that each tire operates with full-time 4WD, maximizing grip and traction on any surface.

With an impressive axle articulation of 25.5 degrees, the Venture18 can easily conquer large obstacles while keeping all four wheels firmly planted on the ground.

MULTI-LINK SUSPENSION

The Venture18 features a sturdy and reliable 4-link suspension front and at the rear. 4mm composite rod links with integrated ball links form the lower and upper suspension links front and rear.

OIL-FILLED COILOVER SHOCKS

For ultimate trail tuning, the Venture18 features aluminum-capped oil-filled threaded body shock absorbers and soft springs that will easily handle the gentle bumps and dips you encounter while driving, as well the harder hits that come with off-road trailing!

You can tune your truck's ride with different shock oils or fine-tune on the run with the threaded aluminum spring collars to make the Venture18 perform at its best on the trail.

FORMED STEEL C-CHANNEL CHASSIS RAILS

The Venture18 is built for performance and scale realism, featuring a rugged open C-channel chassis rail design. This design mirrors the 1/10th scale Venture and takes inspiration from real-world truck construction, offering superior strength and durability. The steel C-chassis rails provide the solid foundation your truck needs to tackle any terrain.

The black finish adds to its scale authenticity but also provides extra protection against wear and corrosion, ensuring your Venture18 maintains its good looks and functionality through countless adventures.

FLX18-3S20-T FLUX ESC

The Venture18 is equipped with a highly versatile FLX18-3S20-T waterproof electronic speed controller, which is packed with a full range of adjustments and capabilities. The FLX18-3S20-T is compatible with 2-3S LiPo and packs a lot of punch into something only 13g in weight. This "T"rail-ready Brushless ESC can switch between Crawling mode with drag break and Trail mode using Channel 4 on the Transmitter.

The FLX18-3S20-T is compatible with the Hobbywing LED program card (available separately) which lets you customize multiple parameters, including voltage cutoff, motor rotation, and drag brake.

METAL-GEARED SD-02MGWR STEERING SERVO

The water-resistant HPI SD-02MGWR steering servo is the ideal companion for the Venture18 FLUX electronics package. This is a high torque servo with up to 1.5kg-cm holding power at 6V, plus it's water-resistant so it can easily handle splashes and water drops when driving through puddles, snow and mud. Mounted directly to the axle, it provides extra weight over the front axle to enhance the front weight bias of the Venture18.

TF-706 2.4GHz RADIO SYSTEM

The Venture18 comes equipped with the cutting-edge TF-706 radio system, the latest addition to the HPI-Racing steering wheel and pistol grip lineup. This fully-featured, ultra-lightweight 2.4GHz 6-channel radio is designed for precision and control, offering complete adjustability to suit your driving style. You can also select the different light options on the Venture18, using the channel 3 button on the grip!

For added versatility, the TF-706 includes a thumb stick option, enabling one-handed driving - perfect for when you need to keep a hand free for filming, or photos or even a drink!

When paired with the SRL-706 3-in-1 RX/ESC and Light Controller on the brushed models, the TF-706 offers remote control of ESC settings, giving you even more flexibility and precision in tuning your performance on the go.
